There are approximately 120 active certified urologist in Denmark, almost all working in public hospitals. Only very few  "office urologists". Danish population: 5.5 million.  The ratio urologists/inhabitants approximately: 1: 50000.

Renal transplants are mainly performed by urologists.
Female urinary incontinence is treated by both urologists and gynaecologists.
Paediatric urology is performed by either paediatric urologists or paediatric surgeons.
Medical treatment and radiotherapy in urooncology are performed by medical oncologists (except hormone treatment in prostate cancer).
