Danish Urological Society was founded in 1961, and has approximately 280 members.

The aim of the society is to encourage and promote urological training and scientific research.
The society is responsible for urological scientific meetings and postgraduate education.
The society is advisory to the Danish national health authorities concerning urological training and other urological matters.
The society is a member of the Scandinavian Association of Urology, and represents Denmark in the UEMS (Union European Mono Specialists), EBU (European Board of Urology), EAU (European Association of Urology) and other international relations.
